Hi everyone! Today we are going to learn how to set up a blogger account. Blogger is a platform created by Google that allows anyone to post their very own Weblog (or Blog).

Setting a Blogger account is very easy to do. So come along! Let’s learn how.

1. Go to Blogger.com.

2. Click the link that says ‘Create Your Blog Now’

Step 1

3. Fill in your email address, name, display name (think of a good handle as this will be visible to the world).

4. Check the box that says ‘I accept the Terms of Service’ after it.

5. Click the Continue link to the right side of the web page. hint: it looks exactly the same as the link you clicked in the image above.

Step 2

6. Now you need to choose a title for your blog. I recommend you use something that you use something that describes what the blog will be about, not simply Michaels Blog or something similar. For example, if you were going to write about natural medicines a good Blog title might be Natural Medicines And Their Many Uses (That one might be taken but you get my drift).

7. Enter the web address that you want the entire world to see. Keep in mind that you cannot use spaces or alphanumeric characters such as % ( ‘ in your blog title. Keeping your blog title simple is, also, a good idea because it will allow other people to remember it more easily.

8. We are going to ignore the advanced options today so click the Continue link again. Yeah! You’re getting it!

Step 3

9. Choose a template. You can always go back and change the template later, so pick something that you think will work, for now. If you want to see a larger version of the template you can click the ‘preview template‘ link under each of the little pictures. Don’t worry it won’t take you away from your present webpage. It will open a new window, but keep in mind that some browsers might block this if you have a pop-up blocker enabled.

10. Click the ‘Continue’ link.

11. Click the ‘Start Blogging’ link to the right side of the screen and you are on your way!
