Both of these allow you to bid on projects ranging from html to photography. Guru is a bit more high scale than getafreelancer. On getafreelancer you will find yourself competing with many webmasters, from other countries, that will work very cheaply.

Personally, I avoid these because I do not like getting involved in the drama of working with clients. The way I supplement my income when it needs a boost is to write content for others. I already write 3 or 4 articles a day for myself so whats 2 more to throw onto constant content. Essentially, this is an article directory for high end content. You have your authors and clients. The clients have the ability to request certain types of articles.

I get $20 to $55 per article depending on it’s length, subject and quality. This makes a great addition to my income when sales are down for the month. It could very well allow you to become self employed sooner. Constant content is really cool because they also accept photography and videos. Maybe you can pick up a long sought after hobby and make money at it!

Be creative. Maybe you can come up with your own way to pull in a quick buck while you are waiting on you affiliate sales to ramp up!
