Hi there :o )

This site is a result of frustration. Frustration born of having to weed through a gazillion posts, lord knows how many search engine results and tons of poor sites, in order to do one thing. HELP a website owner, especially a new one, learn how to build, maintain, market a website and generate quality traffic to that website.

There’s so much to learn, we can’t cover it all. But what we can do is give you one heckuva good foundation and the promise that if you have questions, we’ll do our best to answer them.

There are two of us who run this site, Tim and Dee – we’re brother and sister (he’s the ‘baby brother’!) and together have about 19 years of experience in affiliate marketing. We don’t know it all, I’m not sure we even know a third of it! But, we do know quite a bit and we honestly want to help. So, read on – we’ve each written a bit about ourselves. And, we hope you’ll find this site useful, that you’ll contact us with ANY questions or suggestions and that you make TONS of money!

From Dee…

I guess I’m a ‘Rugu’ lol. I really hate the word “guru” because anyone or his monkey can claim that title – and, honestly, most are monkeys. Am I an expert? Some would say so. I simply say that I’ve learned a ton and have a LOT left to learn – but I’m willing to share what I know today and please don’t be suprised if it all changes tomorrow. That’s the nature of the net.

Actually, this isn’t the first webmaster resource site I’ve built. My first foray into helping webmasters and affiliates was in 1999 when I built a very large webmaster resource center that has since been sold to an affiliate program.

Since then, however, I’ve had my nose to the grindstone as an affiliate and as an affiliate manager of a large program. This project had been on my ‘to do’ list for about the last 3 years but I just never seemed to find the time. And, honestly, I still haven’t found that elusive extra time, but I decided that it was time to build something to help my fellow webmasters and affiliates again.

A little about me (Dee)…

I’m a single mom of six, I live in Wyoming and I’ve worked from home in affiliate marketing as an affiliate since 1999 and in the affiliate management field since 2002. I remain a very active and successful affiliate even with my ‘day job’ as an affiliate manager because I firmly believe that you can’t teach what you can’t and don’t DO. This industry changes much too fast to simply slide into a management role and get all comfy.

Don’t believe me? Well here’s proof. When I started in 96…oh heck, that was the dark ages. How about…I started teaching affiliates in 1999 when blogs were just being born and virtually no one had a clue what a blog was.

Think about it – just since I’ve been in affiliate marketing we’ve watched the evolution of xhtml, blogging, social networking, php, PPC, GOOGLE!, DMOZ.org, CSS and a whole host of other developments. Sometimes it changes so quickly that I want to go back to the good old days when a good site was a banner farm and Alta Vista was THE search engine to be listed on lol.

However, time flies and the net, as well as website marketing, evolves. Therefore, we evolve with it or get left in the dust wondering where everyone went.

From Tim…

Hi there, I’m Tim. I have 7 years of experience in affiliate marketing and learning about how the search engines operate. I believe these two aspects of web develepment are so closely combined that it would be hard to be successful without having at least a basic understanding of each.

All of the websites that I have built have been for me (save one which was written for my brother and father’s landscaping business. I suppose I could design more sites for other people but going that route only provides an income, one at a time. I am more interested in ‘passive income’. Passive income is what has made many billionaires rich. It is the idea of generating multiple streams of income that stick around for years and years. For example, a landlord buys property after property and keeps investing his money in yet more and more. In the end he has multiple income streams and added up they create a large yearly income.

Passive income is what makes affiliate marketing great. You can build a site, move on, build another and the whole time the first site is still doing it’s work for you. (and hopefully bringing in plenty of money to boot!)

I will give you great tips and help you along your way, if you only ask! There is so much to know (as my sister, Dee, stated earlier) that we cannot possibly teach you everything. We can give you a solid foundation in the world of affiliate marketing and show you how to adapt and change with the internet.

A little about me…

I am 34 years years old and never married. When the weather is nice I love to go for bike rides (especially in Spring in Fall – my two favorite times of year).

My favorite hobby is reading. Everytime I get a free moment you will either catch me in a library, bookstore or relaxing on the couch with a book. Unfortunately, I am busy so you won’t catch me in many of my ‘free moments’. But working a lot keeps me out of trouble, I guess.

Working is my passion. Likely, I will work until the day I die. Retirement scares me half to death. My mind just works too fast and I can’t imagine not growing terribly bored of retirement.

So, come and ask us some questions and allow us to show you that there really are legitimate people out there who can help you get a start on web marketing, from the bottom up!

Ok, you guys are Rugus – How does that help me?

Well, if you want to learn how to make money on the net, we’ll do our best to teach you. BUT – it is work and it is a learning curve. It is ALWAYS a learning curve, even after you’ve been doing this for years. Why? Well, read what we said a bit ago – that good ‘ol evolution of the net means we always need to be learning.

The days of ‘get rich quick’ on the internet are long gone, but the days of being able to support yourself and your family as a telecommuter are still alive and kicking. The keys? Well, if we post them all here this page will be 5 miles long and will defeat the purpose of this site! But we promise you, we will do our best to give you every tip, trick, tool and piece of advice we can muster together in order to help you succeed.
